7zip batch unzip multiple files

Win7 File Extractor

How to I "unzip" multiple *.zip files in one operation, rather than one by one?

Get multiple files to be extracted into separate folders.

  1. In Window's finder window, select all your .zip files
  2. Right-click on them, navigate to the 7-Zip pop-up menu, and choose the:     Extract to "*\" option .

This will extract each .zip file into its own folder named after the zip file.

Unzip files (7-zip) via cmd command

  1. Open command prompt in directory where .zip file are stored
  2. Enter command  Folder>"C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" e *.zip

This will extract each .zip file into the same directory. Use surrounding quotes to ignore spaces in folder names.
